First of all, the big news is that the Hesse Seewald which was in position to liber ... ah, besiege Frankfurter has fallen back through the Fulda Gap in response to the Allied victory at Minden ... as I write, news of a great collision near the capital of Hesse Seewald, Gotha, is just beginning to arrive (see "Campaigns in Germania).
Of course, the Resistance continues its forlorn struggle (I've fourteen pages of rough draft to bang into the confuser), and the search for the wife's good close up camera also continues ... Amazing what two cats can accomplish in a single night in one room ...

Arthur,
Since we also have two cats . . . one of whom feels that all surfaces should be cleaned of anything the humans have placed there . . . and both of whom feel that anything on the floor is a "cat toy" and should be batted around until it is behind something in another room . . . I am not at all surprised at what two cats can do.

Mon trés cher Arthur,
Intendant l'Comte de Bastille has invited the Hurtzshog and two important personalities to accompany the Gallian Army under Lt. Gen. Chevert. Even now they are happily (well they are putting a good face on things) en-route to a place named Schaumburg.
The ever cheerful (?) Bastille is full of contentedness at his l'affaire diplomatique. Never fear! Your trio is being guarded by an entire battalion in the event of mischief.
Votre serviteur,
Bill
PS See the Germania blog where the three fellows you mailed to me a few months ago are enjoying food, drink, a parade and a surprise vacation.
I'll paint their portraits at l'Bataille de Schaumburg. Wish you could be there in person.
Ah yes, we do enjoy the opportunity to witness the glory of Gallian arms.
ah ...
Would your troops mind pointing those bayonets away from us?
:)
